Jalapeno Peppers

As one of the most common peppers, Jalapeno Peppers are a mild to moderate variety of chile pepper that typically register between 2,500 and 8,000 heat units on the Scoville Scale.

They are medium-sized and begin green in color but will turn red as they ripen (both on the plant and after they have been picked). Because of their mild to moderate heat, Jalapenos are used in a wide variety of ways, from sauces and salsas, to being prepared and eaten whole.
